ABOUT THE PROJECT
The 52 WEEKS FESTIVAL is a year-long celebration of creativity and culture across the county of Derbyshire, planned to run throughout 2023.
The 52 WEEKS FESTIVAL has six principal goals:
The 52 WEEKS FESTIVAL programme will encompass existing activities as well as adding new events to Derbyshire's cultural calendar and will depend upon the involvement of many creative organisations and individuals living and working throughout the county, as well as engagement of a broad audience, from Glossop to Swadlincote, Ashbourne to Chesterfield...and every community in between.
The initial phase of the project, supported by a Research & Development grant from Arts Council England and other partners, was completed in 2020. The second phase of planning and programme development is underway.
